Frosted Glass

Frosted glass,is produced by the sandblasting, acid etching or a attaching sticker of clear sheet glass. It has the effect of rendering the glass translucent by scattering of light during transmission, thus blurring images while still transmitting light.

Technique Frosted :
-         Sandblass
Sand used to be the most commonly used material, By launching sand of abrasive at the glass at a high speed with air compressor. High pressure air mixed with an sand cuts away at the glass surface to create the effect.

-         acid etching
usually this technique use “glass etching cream” available from fluoride compounds, such sodium fluoride and hydrogen fluoride. The fluoridation of the glass surface causes the characteristic rough, opaque qualities of frosted glass.

-         Sticker
This technique is the safety technique, simply by attaching a sticker patterned opaque on glass surface.
